On the occasion of its 53rd anniversary, the Panchakanya group at Kotihwa in Rupandehi completed a blood donation program on Monday. Since the group has been holding a blood donation program every year on the occasion of its anniversary, it has continued this time as well.

Devendra Sahu, General Manager of Panchkanya Group, said that they are organizing blood donation every year on the anniversary to meet the shortage of blood in the country. This time on Monday, blood donation was conducted from 7 am to 1 pm at the industrial premises. In the

program, 200 workers working in the industry have donated blood. In addition to this, general manager Sahu informed that the social organizations, clubs, representatives of industrial associations, media persons and common people in various areas of the district also donated blood.

The industrial group had made a public appeal for blood donation as it would help save lives. As a result, people from 20 kilometers away from the district came to donate blood.  The

group also arranged certificates and special gifts for the women who participated in the blood donation. Sahu said that this arrangement was made to encourage women to donate blood.
