The Lumbini state government has given a holiday on the 8th of August on the 'Badka Attwari' (Big Sunday) festival of the Tharu community. However, the three local levels of West Nawalparasi did not implement this holiday. They said that the Tharu community of their municipality will celebrate the Badka Attwari festival on August 15th, and they have declared a public holiday in the municipality tomorrow, Sunday, August 15th.
Palhinandan, Susta Rural Municipality and Bardghat Municipality of the district, which operated their offices on the 8th of August when the province gave a holiday, issued a notice and declared a public holiday tomorrow. Ramgram, Sunwal Municipality, Pratappur and Sarawal Rural Municipality of the district had already given leave on August 8.
In this way, even in the same festival, the date and date of the festival differed among the Tharu community, so the provincial and local levels gave different days.
