The Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chetnarayan Acharya, has said that the state government will suggest to include matters related to partnership forest management in the Forest Act being prepared by the federal government.
On Monday, in a discussion with the delegation of the Nepal Lumbini Province of Partnership Forest Users Federation at the office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, he informed that necessary suggestions will be prepared from the provincial level and sent to the Federal Forest Act.
``Union is about to make a Forest Act. The province will include it by sending suggestions. The province makes a separate procedure for partnership forest management. We will proceed with the amendment process.'
Partnership Forest Consumer Federation of Lumbini Province has suggested that the provisions of the Provincial Forest Act 2078 and Regulations 2079 are in conflict with the federal Act and Regulations and that some important issues are missing and that amendments are necessary.
Federation president Rajendra Prasad Chaudhary along with the representatives of various consumer groups submitted the attention letter and said that there are different practices in the partnership forest consumer groups within the province and policy revision is necessary to solve this.
