Students from 14 districts have been initiated by Palpa Technical Institute for the first time. The institute initiated 39 health assistant students on Monday. Principal Trilochan Paudyal said that this institute, which is training health assistants and lab technicians, held the first convocation ceremony for the students who came here to study on the occasion of its 30th anniversary.
Social Development Minister of Lumbini Province Janmjay Timilsena, Member of Lumbini Province Assembly and former Minister Bir Bahadur Rana, President of the Institute Bhesraj Nepal, Principal Trilochan Paudyal wore hats and gave certificates in the program.
Principal Paudyal said that the first batch has completed their studies at the health assistant level and the best students in various subjects were awarded with various medals and prizes.
Palpa Technical Institute had been conducting ANM, CMA, Lab Assistant and AHEB programs before the training of Health Assistant and Lab Technician.
Minister of Social Development of Lumbini Province Timilsena said that technical manpower studying technical education is necessary for the current labor market. According to Minister Timilsena, this institute in the hilly district has served students from many districts of Lumbini province and there is an opportunity to provide quality education to more students in the future.
"The government has received great support by teaching Health Assistants (HA) and Lab Assistants, which are needed in the labor market," he said.
The head of District Coordination Committee Palpa, Tankanath Khanal, said that not only students of Palpa but also students of other districts have been given technical education.
Santosh Lal Shrestha, Mayor of Tansen Municipality, said that even students from remote poor families could come to Tansen and get cheap and convenient education.
United Mission Hospital head Dr. Rachel Karkh, District President of Rashtriya Prajatantra Party Dul Bahadur Kunwar, Chairman of Nepal Red Cross Society Palpa Branch Baburam Karki, Social Worker Madhav Nepal, Ward President of Tansen Municipality Ward No. 1 Sunil Basyal and others said that they encouraged the students by holding a convocation ceremony for the first time in Palpa. During the
program, Palpa Technical Institute Principal Paudyal presented the annual report and said that in the future, e-library, audio-visual materials will be managed more, the laboratory will be upgraded, and teachers will be given more training.
He said that due to short-sightedness and wrong decisions of the Medical Education Commission, most of the students go for studies outside the country, so the presence of students in most of the colleges is less than the quota. In the
program, the president of Palpa Technical Institute, Bheshraj Nepal, member Buddhi Prasad Sharma, the chairman of the teaching committee and trainer Dipesh Gyawali and others said that there has been an improvement in the physical condition of the institute, the management of appropriate staff and teachers, and a numerical increase in the necessary educational materials.
