District Court Banke has sentenced a hotelier of Nepalgunj for mixing inedible harmful coal color in food including Biryani, Kabab and Shorma and storing meat in a dirty place.

In the case filed by the Food Technology and Quality Control Office, Nepalgunj, Banke, against Mohammad Umar Sai, the owner of Bismilla Hotel located in Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city-11, Banke district court found him guilty and sentenced him to a fine of one lakh rupees and 6 months imprisonment.

Food Technology and Quality Control Office, Nepalgunj  Filed by Food Inspector Ramhari Lamichhane of Banke  Judge Keshavraj Chapai of District Court Banke gave a verdict in that case and said that the defendant was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment and a fine of one lakh rupees according to Section 42 (1) (b) of Food Hygiene and Quality Act, 2081.

During the on-site monitoring inspection of the hotel, it was found that the biryani cooking area was open, connected to the toilet, extremely dirty, flies were found, and the refrigerator was very dirty  According to the Food Technology and Quality Control Office, it has been found that meat has been stored, food (onion, raita, breadcrumbs, chicken) has been stored in plastic containers, Kortar color has been used in cooked food biryani and kebab. The

office had filed a case against Sai in District Court Banke on May 5, 2081.
