On Wednesday afternoon, the leopard attacked the elephant that went to look for the troubled leopard. Bardia National Park reported that an elephant was killed in a leopard attack.

Park information officer and senior assistant conservation officer Sarojmani Paudal said that the elephant was slightly injured in the leopard attack. Leopards along with elephants are being monitored by the park and division forest office staff. Official Paudel said that the technical team of the National Nature Conservation Fund and the park are preparing to dart (stun) the leopard because it is in the bush.
Because the leopard is very aggressive, the park administration has asked the public to be cautious until it is brought under control.
In recent times, there has been an increase in cases of leopards attacking people in Bardiya.
