An Indian citizen has been arrested on charges of preparing and selling fake educational certificates in the name of various universities in Nepal and India. 25-year-old Abhishek Yadav of Kanpur Nauasti, India was arrested.

According to District Police Chief Superintendent Pradip Bahadur Chhetri, fake educational certificates, various documents, stamps, holograms, stickers and other materials were recovered from Yadav's possession. Chhetri informed that Yadav was arrested from Muktinath Hotel located in Siddharth Nagar-1, by a joint team of District and Area Police Belhia based on confidential information. 

The police have speculated that the gang that prepares fake educational certificates is active. "Yadav is an employee of a gang that makes fake educational certificates," Superintendent of Police Chhetri said, "It has been revealed that such certificates are used to go abroad for educational studies from Nepal." He said that investigations and investigations have been started on those involved in the production of fake educational certificates.  

100 transcripts of Tribhuvan University, 36 certificates, 4,040 holograms, 2,000 holograms written by Higher Secondary Education Council, 1,700 holograms written by National Examination Board and 1,900 holograms written by CTEVT were recovered from Yadav's possession, police said.

80 fake marksheets, 40 provisional certificates, 60 character certificates and 49 other blank certificates and 40 blank logos of India's AMT (Uttar Pradesh) have been found. Police Inspector Mukesh Neupane of Belhia District Police Office said that Yadav was detained while booking a room to stay in a hotel at Nanikai border between Nepal and India. 

According to Neupane, thousands of fake educational certificates from India's Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University Hyderabad, Chhatrapati Sahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, Kurukshetra University, Andhra University have been recovered from Yadav. Dozens of fake stamps and seals with the names of various universities and offices being used for illegal transactions, four pen drives, one HP company laptop, one iPhone, one Realme mobile, three ATM cards, 18,500 Indian rupees and 3,250 Nepalese rupees were also seized.
