An elderly couple died in Rolpa after eating wild mushrooms. According to the police, the couple, residents of Pariwar Rural Municipality-2, Rangsi village, died two days apart on Saturday and Sunday while undergoing treatment.
According to the police, 81-year-old Bhagiram Wali and his wife 74-year-old Normala Wali, a resident of Rangsi, ate mushrooms on July 27. They got sick after eating the mushrooms they had found in the forest. They were given first aid at a local health institution.
After the patient's condition became serious, both were taken to Rapti Health Science Institute in Dang for further treatment. They were taken to the establishment on Saturday night. Both of them died during treatment. Inspector Rohit Kumar Shahi, Information Officer of District Police Office Rolpa, said that Narmala died on July 31 and Bhagiram died on Sunday. Son Man Bahadur Wali went to Dang to get them treated . The post-mortem of the bodies of both the deceased is being prepared at the institution.
