Two people were injured when a tractor and a motorcycle collided in Rolpa on Saturday afternoon. According to the police, around 1.30 am, two vehicles collided on Shahidmarg at Holeri Bazar under Runtigadhi Rural Municipality.

Motorcycle No. Ra 4 P 3913 coming from the opposite direction collided with tractor No. 4 No. 2789 coming from Haat Bazar towards Shahid Marg in Holleri. 

After the accident, the driver of the motorcycle, 22-year-old Dipendra Kunwar of Runtigadhi-8 Jhenam and 18-year-old Asha of Triveni Rural Municipality-2 Dhanbang, who was sitting behind, were injured again. Among the injured, Kunwar's right leg was broken and Pun's head was injured. 

The injured have been given first aid at the primary health center in Holeri and sent to the Rapti Institute of Health Sciences in Dang. 

Mohan Basnet, a 55-year-old resident of Runtigadhi-9 Sakhi, the tractor driver, and the vehicle were taken into custody by the police, said Inspector Rohit Kumar Shahi, Information Officer of the District Police Office. A team of 4 people under the leadership of Senior Deputy Inspector Tara Bachhari has been assigned from the area police station in Holleri to investigate the incident. 

Meanwhile, there has been an increase in road vehicle incidents in Rolpa recently. During the period of one week, there have been 4 road accidents under Shahid Marg. Half a dozen passengers were injured in a jeep accident at Byangkhola near Ghartigaon on Shahid Marg, while two people including the driver were injured when a jeep carrying vegetables crashed in the Nandi river near Darbot.
