Two children have drowned while swimming in a pond in Krishnanagar Municipality-7, Sukhrampur.
Akash Bahai, 12 years old son of local Ranjit Bahai, and Amber Raidas, 11 years old son of Rajendra Raidas, died while swimming in the public pool near the village around 2:30 pm on Thursday afternoon, said DSP Ripendra Kumar Singh, information officer of the district police office.
Locals informed the police after seeing the dead body floating in the pond. The police and locals have taken the child's body out of the pond and sent it to Shivraj Hospital in Bahadurganj for post-mortem.
Earlier on July 15 Two children of Wanganga Municipality-5 Kopwa also drowned when they went to bathe in the ghola.
