The fifth full meeting of the Lumbini State Committee held at Lamhi in Dang on Wednesday has directed UML to strategize and move aggressively to win the by-election of Rupandehi-3 to be held on 17th October. The meeting adopted the resolution passed by the ninth meeting of the Central Committee and also passed an additional resolution.
Addressing the meeting, UML Central Secretary and Lumbini Province in-charge Padma Aryal instructed the workers to work hard for victory as the result of Rupandehi-3 by-election will give a message for the 2084 election. She called to act aggressively and stand firm against social anarchy.

meeting, Lumbini provincial government has progressed the work to complete the administrative building for the capital, Lumbini regional hospital, Rampur-Kapurkot hill road and Lumbini technical university and it has also been decided that it will address the basic needs of the people. Besides, the meeting also directed the government to make a planned program to develop the Butwal region as an economic center. The meeting also pointed out the need to transform Lumbini as an organic province, expand agriculture, industry, tourism, education and health infrastructure, develop industrial and commercial areas, build industrial areas in Motipur, Nauvasta and Nepalganj and promote small and domestic industries. The
meeting has called on all levels of government to ensure timely supply of fertilizers, seeds and modern equipment for farmers, to pay the dues of dairy and sugarcane farmers and to ensure food security. Expressing grief over the loss of human resources and physical infrastructure caused by the incessant rains, the meeting demanded relief to the victims, reconstruction of destroyed structures, safe housing from floods and landslides, and immediate operation of blocked roads.
UML Lumbini president Radhakrishna Kandel said that the meeting also requested to facilitate traffic in the lower area of Butwal-Narayanghat road section.
