Rakse located in rural municipality-2 of Kaligand has blocked the road due to a landslide with rocks from above.
Information Officer of District Police Office Gulmi Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganga Bahadur Saru informed that the road was blocked by landslides due to the rain that has been happening since Wednesday morning. As the road was blocked, locals and commuters passing through Karidaer suffered.
In the Gulmi section of the Kaligand corridor, roads are often blocked at Gargare, Rakse, Mulk and Kanaita.
There have been three landslides at a distance of 8 kilometers only in Ward No. 1, 2 and 3 of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality. Because of this, the Gulmi section of the corridor has been blocked many times.
