Police have arrested 6 people who were playing tas and gambling in Rolpa. According to the police, they were arrested from Ares at 9 pm on Tuesday.
According to the district police office, those arrested are Minraj Pun Magar, Manoj Pun Magar, Naveen Roka Magar, Meenraj Subadi, Dhanraj Pun and Indra Bahadur Roka Magar of Sunil Smriti Rural Municipality-8 Ares. Indra is from Tebang village. The arrested are between 23 and 35 years old. The police found Rs 27,865 in cash with them.
Police Inspector Rohit Kumar Shahi, Information Officer of the District Police Office, issued a press release and said that after receiving a secret information, a team was deployed under the leadership of Police Inspector Arun Tamang, in-charge of the area police office at Sulichour. They have been given an extension of 7 days on Wednesday by the District Administration Office, Rolpa, for further investigation into the offense of gambling or betting.
