Lili Thapa, commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission, has said that the condition of the prisoners of Rupandehi District Jail is critical. The Commission's team inspected the prison on Monday morning.

Commissioner Thapa responded that the government has failed in its management by keeping three times more prisoners than its capacity. Recently, the National Independent  Stating that the matter of the services/facilities being received by the party (RASWP) chairman Ravi Lamichhane is being discussed only, she asked to be concerned about the plight of the prisoners as a whole. "There are only 16 toilets for 630 prisoners," she said, "There is no water, the prisoners are under stress."

Monday morning, before the inspection of Block No. 4 in Lamichhane, she reached the prison. She said that the prisoners suffered because there was no place where they could stretch their legs and sleep.

"Prisoners of all kinds are kept together, not separated according to the nature of the crime," she said, "This shows the weakness of the government."
