The road from Aryabhanjang to Rampur via Tahun on Siddharth Highway has been blocked since Tuesday morning due to the landslides that occurred along with the rain.
Local residents informed that a landslide occurred in Mathagadhi rural municipality-1, Budhikot area near Aryabhanjyang of this 49 km long road. Landslide occurred at the place where the road was widened and dozers were used for upgrading. Police station Tahun Palpa reported that vehicles were blocked due to landslides.
Vehicles going to Mathagadhi, Purvkhola, Rambha, Nisdi Rural Municipality as well as some parts of Rampur Municipality pass through this road. Small and big vehicles could not move after the road was blocked.
Vehicles going to dozens of places like Chidipani, Humin, Tanhu, Birkot, Purvkhola, Jalpa, Jamire, Archle, Siluva, Jagbadi etc. pass through this road. The road has been damaged in different places of Humin as well as in Birkot, Khalukbhanjyang, Sefat, Jagbadi, Siluva, Veldanda etc.
