The construction of road motor bridge connecting Ridi in Gulmi to Chandibhanjang in Syangja is stalled. The construction of the concrete bridge started 12 years ago by Road Division Palpa has not been completed yet.

A contract agreement was signed in the financial year 2068/069 with a three-year period for the construction of a concrete bridge connecting Ridi of Rurukshetra Rural Municipality of Gulmi to Chandibhanjang Syangja of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality.

This bridge should be completed on June 24, 2072, said Durga Gautam, information officer of Road Division Palpa. But the construction of the bridge has not been completed yet. Swachhand Nirman Seva Kathmandu was entrusted with the construction of this bridge.

According to the road division office, the contract for the construction of the bridge was awarded for Rs.

So far the physical progress of the bridge is only 40 percent. According to the road division, the financial progress is only 21 percent. On the one side, the general pillar and foundation around the bridge has been constructed.

While working on the foundation of the well between, the builder claims that there was a problem with the work due to a large stone. The construction company said that since the work of the foundation around and between the river has been completed, only the task of placing the truss is left.
