Palpa-Butwal road section of Siddharth Highway has been opened for one-way operation after the landslides with large stones that fell due to incessant rains were removed. Under the highway, the road in Tinau Rural Municipality-3, Dobhan Siddhababa area was blocked due to landslides.
The road was blocked in at least three places near the Siddha Baba temple due to landslides with large rocks and mud. The road was completely blocked for three hours. Heavy machines from the China State Construction Engineering Corporation immediately attempted to open it.
Palpa police chief SP Pawan Kumar Bhattarai informed that as soon as the heavy rain stopped, the landslides and stones on the road were removed and the vehicles stopped were sent to their destination.
