Cash and jewelery stolen from a house in the main bazaar of Bhairahawa

The house of Kuvear Subedi and the commercial establishment rented there in Siddharthnagar Municipality-12 of Rupandehi were stolen and vandalized on Sunday night. The persons who entered Subedi's house by breaking the main channel gate stole three tolas of gold jewellery, half a kilo of silver coins, 20,000 Nepali rupees and 7,000 Indian rupees. The stolen house is about 70 meters away from the ward police office.

According to Mahendra Kumar Shrestha, former president of Siddhartha Udyog Commerce Association, it appears that the burglars initially entered by breaking the channel gate on the ground floor.

After that, two channel gates of the second floor were broken and cash and jewelery were stolen. According to him, the windows and doors of the business establishments rented in the house, the tables of Siddharth Insurance, the cell depot of Ncell and the shop of Das Courier Company have been vandalized. He also informed that the worship room in the house was also damaged.

DSP Ganesh Sapkota of the district police office said that the theft was attempted by breaking the windows and doors of the house. "There was an attempted theft in the said house," he said, "even though the doors, windows, and drawers were broken, the police did not receive any information about the loss of any items."
