The police have arrested the absconding defendant in the theft case. According to the Information Officer of the District Police Office and DSP Chakra Bahadur Damarpal, the arrested person is Aditya Periyar, 28 years old of Pushpanagar, Baghaiyatal Village-3.
He said that he was arrested while hiding at the Nepal-India border in the same municipality-7 Karnalipul.
In the case against him, District Court Bardia decided on 17 August 2081 that he should be imprisoned for 4 months and 24 days, a fine of 5000 rupees and 200 rupees to be deposited in the victims' relief fund. He was filed in the district court on Sunday.
