Santosh Kumar Pandey, the newly appointed Youth and Sports Minister of Lumbini Province, has taken the oath of office and secrecy. On Monday, the newly appointed Minister Pandey took the oath of office and secrecy in front of the provincial chief Krishna Bahadur Gharti in Butwal.
Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya, former Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, provincial ministers and high-ranking officials were present. With the swearing in of Pandey, the number of ministers in Lumbini including the chief minister has increased to 12.
Lumbini Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya expanded the cabinet on Sunday. A year after Acharya was appointed as Chief Minister, Lumbini's cabinet has been completed. The Ministry of Youth and Sports was held by the Chief Minister himself. Pandey became a minister from LOSPA.
LOSPA withdrew its support to the government last June. Pandey, who is also the leader of the LOSPA parliamentary party, claimed that the government did not address his demands and ignored the budget, so he withdrew his support and joined the opposition.
