There has been an improvement in the performance of the Ministry of Social Development in Lumbini Province. The ministry said that there was an increase in current and capital expenditure last year compared to the past.

The Ministry has improved its expenditure by 8 percent in the fiscal year 2081/082 compared to the fiscal year 2080/081. Last year, 61.5 percent of the current and capital budget was spent. It has spent 69.1 percent in 2081/082. Ramhari Rizal, head of the ministry's division, said that in 2080/081, 64.3 percent was spent on running. He said that in 2081/082, 71.7 percent was spent on the current side, while on the capital side, it was 49.5 percent in the previous year and 65.2 percent in the last year. 

According to the ministry, in 2080/081, 1.32 billion 74 million rupees were spent out of the current budget of 2.6 billion 49 million rupees. In 2081/082, out of 1 billion 76 crore 49 lakh rupees, 1 billion 26 crore 49 lakh rupees have been spent. Similarly, Rizal said that 236.2 million rupees out of 47.69 million rupees last year and 75 million 28 million rupees out of 1.155 million rupees last year were spent on capital expenditure.

In the previous year, 283 out of 499 projects were completed. Out of which 114 projects are in progress. 22 did not work at all. In 2081/082, out of 957 projects, 526 have been completed and 348 projects are ongoing. 83 projects have not been completed.

In 2081/082, construction of 390 new classrooms (buildings), 50 toilets, 82 school building renovations, 12 information technology labs, 11 science labs, 4 library constructions, 20 school health services, 57 professional and skill trainings, 42 groups of teacher trainings, 4 groups of capacity development training received from the province have been done in 2081/082.

In the previous year, there were zero school health services, but in 2081/082, there were 20. "Last year, the minister came to the responsibility of the ministry a little late, due to various reasons, the work of the ministry was not so effective until then,"  The head of the ministry's division, Ramhari Rizal , said, 'After the minister arrived, the work intensified. We were able to carry out many tasks effectively.'

Minister of Social Development Janmjay Timilsina said that last year's SEE results were more successful than the previous year. "Educational programs and plans have been introduced with the aim of making community school teachers more responsible and students more hardworking," said Minister Timilsina.

According to him, the process of formulation of procedures including women's council formation order, barghar act, establishment and operation of new promotion center has been advanced.
