The employees of Lumbini Development Fund are protesting with various demands. As part of the protest program called by the Lumbini Development Fund Employees' Union, they worked with black armbands tied on their hands on July 8 and 9.
If the demand is not met, there is a plan to hold a pendown on July 12 and 13, Abdul Offa, president of the Fund Employees Union, said. He said that if the demand is not met, on the 12th at 4 pm, all vehicles of the fund will be impounded in the fund premises and on the 13th, the head office and housing area of the fund will be locked. So far, the fund administration has not taken any initiative to solve the problem, he said.
They demand that the employees' union should get accumulated leave, fund allowance and dearness allowance, by amending the staff regulations of 079, the age limit should not be applied, and all the employees who are currently under service contract should be filled through a limited competitive examination. Similarly, there is a demand that all the employees should be made permanent by approving the posts soon and the permanent employees should be promoted.
