Federal Water Supply Minister Pradeep Yadav has said that there will be no shortage of drinking water in Tansen.

He asked that 100 crores of budget has been allocated this year and the construction of 500,000 liters tank for water supply should be started.

Speaking at the 10th Annual General Meeting of Tansen Water Consumer Committee of Palpa on Saturday, Minister Yadav said,  Start the work by tendering from 10 crores. The necessary budget will not be allowed to be lacking . Even if it costs 35 crores, I will manage it.

He urged the residents of Tansen Bazar as well as the tourists who come here to avoid shortage of drinking water by spending the allocated budget on time in the current financial year. He said that since the federal government transferred it to the consumer committee in 2068, the Tansen Water Supply Consumer Committee has been distributing and managing water supply since 2072, so the budget has been distributed to make it more sustainable.

Mohan Prasad Shrestha, Chairman of Tansen Drinking Water Consumer Committee, said that the committee managed 95 percent of the water from lift drinking water and distributed it by bringing water from Kaligandaki river, Sisne, Tindhara, Holangdi, Baajha Kurungkhola and other places. According to Chairman Shrestha, drinking water management has been done by distributing 4,603 taps in Tansen market area. In the

program, Federal Member of Parliament Thakur Gayre said that he would support the improvement of water supply in Tansen and the work to be done in the future. 

4 thousand 332 private and 260 institutional taps have been connected in Tansen. Mission Hospital and Tansen Nursing Campus have been arranged to distribute additional water through overload in addition to regular water.

Until three years ago, in Tansen, water was delivered from the stream once every 9 days for half an hour, now water is distributed for one hour every day after one day.
