The number of divorces in Palpa is increasing. In the last three years, 1,356 cases of divorce have been registered.
According to Palpa Srestedar Keshav Parajuli, 443 cases were registered in 2079/80 and 428 cases in 2080/81. In the previous financial year, a total of 815 cases were registered, only 485 were divorce cases. Tehsildar and information officer of the court Ram Prasad Pokharel informed that most of the young people who go for foreign employment come to the court for divorce due to the deterioration of their family relationships. In the financial year 2079/80, 27 people came to the district court to end their marriage.
Due to reasons such as abuse of information and technology, foreign employment, divorce cases are increasing due to family discord. Such problems have been observed in the families of men and women living temporarily in urban areas.
Similarly, the district court has dismissed more cases than the target in the last fiscal year 2081/82. Srestedar Parajuli of District Court Palpa informed that 815 cases were dismissed and more than the target was dismissed in the last financial year.
Speaking at a press conference held at the office of the court, Srestedar Parajuli informed that 270 cases transferred from 2080/81 and 814 newly registered cases, 815 cases out of a total of 1,084 cases have been decided & nbsp;. Of the total number of cases, 75 ten and 18 percent cases have been dismissed.
