Action against 18 thousand 872 drivers who violated traffic rules

In one year, 18 thousand 872 drivers of vehicles who violated traffic rules were punished. Pankaj Chudali, Head of District Traffic Police Office, Gorusinge, said that 14.1 million 71 thousand 500 revenue was collected by taking action against vehicles that did not follow traffic rules in the last year 081/82.

A maximum of 5,592 trucks and tippers have been taken into action. From that, 69 lakh 9 thousand 500 fines have been raised.

Similarly, 4 thousand 131 motorcycles were punished and 35 lakh 96 thousand fines were collected. According to the traffic police, a fine of Rs. Similarly, 366,000 fines have been collected from 366 tractor actions and 3,85,500 fines have been collected from other 433 actions.  Due to

accidents, the traffic police has been conducting awareness programs many times to avoid traffic rules and road conditions. However, traffic police inspector Chudali said that accidents are increasing when drivers drive vehicles carelessly. He said that even though the number of vehicles has increased, the number of accidents has increased despite the lack of road expansion.

Disobeying traffic rules, driving without driving license, co-driver driving and bad condition of the road are also problems, said DSP Mohanmani Adhikari, District Police Spokesperson.

Last year, 78 thousand 882 people were made aware of 2 thousand 70 traffic awareness programs including drivers, businessmen, passengers and general public, according to traffic police.

In the same district, 85 people lost their lives in road accidents last year. Out of 689 accidents, 85 people lost their lives. District Police Chief Superintendent Niranjan Dutt Bhatt said that 1,144 people were injured in the same accident.

In the year 080/81, 83 people died in an accident. Out of which 711 were involved in accidents and 1 thousand 150 were injured. Bhatt said that speeding, over-capacity passengers, drunkenness and violation of rules lead to accidents.
