The Rotary Club of Central Lumbini at Bhairahawa in Ruppandehi has provided financial support for the treatment of two children who are hearing impaired and unable to speak.
In the club's 10th installation program, club president Vishnu Sharma informed that 61,000 rupees have been donated for the treatment of twins Eric and Ivan Tharu, who have no hearing and speaking ability, under the 'Club's First Service Project'.

4 and a half year old twin sons Eric and Ivan of Santaram Tharu and Sunita Karki, who are now living in Siddharth Nagar-9 with their permanent home in Wanganga Municipality-3 of Kapilvastu, have hearing problems from birth. According to the doctor, it will cost at least 40 lakh rupees to place cochlear implants in the ears of both the children.
