The lockdown in the office of the chairman and chief administrative officer in Rurukshetra rural municipality has not been opened yet. The district-based employee organizations have expressed their opposition to the lockdown that has been going on for five days.

Official trade union of civil servants Gulmi, Nepal Civil Servants Association Gulmi, Nepal Civil Servants Union Gulmi and Nepal National Employees Organization (Civil) Gulmi have submitted a memorandum to Acting Chief District Officer Hari Prasad Gayre and requested him to open the lockdown as soon as possible and arrange an environment for starting administrative work.

CPN-UML Rurukshetra Village Committee has locked down in Rurukshetra on 30th of June. There was a policy error regarding the purchase of digital cards in the school and it was locked in protest against the non-payment of purchased cards.

has stated that the rural municipality in Rurukshetra has no intention to do wrong and the digital board connected to the school without completing the process has not been paid. Hariprasad Gyawali, spokesperson of Rurukshetra rural municipality, said that it was wrong to lock down the matter which is being investigated by the constitutional body.

The official trade union of civil servants under the leadership of Khim Bahadur Adhikari, president of Gulmi, submitted a memorandum to the district administration office. 'Employees cannot be discouraged and citizens deprived of services,' he said, 'Locking down instead of going through legal and constitutional remedies is wrong.'

Acting Chief Officer Hari Prasad Gayre said that his attention has been drawn to this matter. "We are serious and diligent about this issue," he said, "we coordinate with the relevant agencies."

Rural Municipality Chairman Yadu Gyawali and Chief Administrative Officer Laxman Pandey are providing the services that should be provided by reaching the waiting room of the office and villages.
