What you should know

The police have arrested a person on the charge of fraud by buying Ranga buffaloes on loan. Police arrested 44-year-old Mohammad Jamil Muslim of Garhwa Rural Municipality-4, Parsa on Wednesday and started further investigation.

He was arrested after receiving a complaint from three persons including Tejman Choudhary of Dangisaran Rural Municipality-4, Sukdeva for buying and taking six rangas on loan for 280,000 rupees. After not receiving the money for the purchase on 23rd January 2080, the victims filed a complaint at the district administration office on 21st November 2081.

The administration office had sent a written letter to the district police office on the same day to conduct the necessary investigation on the petition. District Police Spokesperson DSP Chakra Bahadur Shah said that the Muslim did not come in contact with the police despite repeated calls.

Chowdhury, who is one of the victims, filed a complaint with the district police on 25th of last Baisakh, saying that when he asked for money in Lamhi on 22nd of Baisakh, he threatened and behaved indecently. Shah informed that the Muslim was arrested based on the complaint. As it seems that other people may have been cheated by him, Shah has called upon everyone to contact the police office if they have been cheated.
