Rupandehi's Tilottama Municipality has received permission to build tourist infrastructure. The Ministry of Tourism has given consent to the municipality to build a tourist infrastructure in the multi-purpose view tower complex constructed in Shankarnagar Forest Park and Research Center (Vanwatika) located in Ward No. 1 of the municipality.

After the approval of the Ministry, the legal obstacle for the municipality to build tourism infrastructure in the tower complex with its own investment has been removed. Tilottama Municipality shared the cost with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to build tourist infrastructure.

However, according to the partnership, the construction of tourist infrastructure in the tower complex could not be completed after the ministry did not provide the budget. In an area where cost sharing has already taken place, the municipality sought the consent of the Ministry of Tourism as there may be legal hurdles when the municipality alone pays for the construction of infrastructure. 

Ministry of Tourism made a secretary-level decision on June 29 and gave consent to Tilottma Municipality, the head of the city Ramkrishna Khan said that now the legal obstacles for the construction of tourism infrastructure have been removed. Khan said that the municipality has spent 1 crore in the current financial year to build tourism infrastructure in the said area, and an additional 1 crore has been allocated for the next financial year and has been passed through the policy and program and budget.

municipality's  He said that he believes that permission to operate the multi-purpose view tower, which is a project of Gaurav, will help the municipality financially along with the creation of internal and external tourism and employment in this area.

Chief Administrative Officer Narayan Aryal said that it is now easy for the municipality to build the remaining structure and bring the multi-purpose tower into operation in the next financial year. Aryal said that the municipality is ready to complete this work at its own cost with the goal of supporting the promotion of internal and external tourism.
