The issue of connecting smart boards to schools in Rurukshetra rural municipality is getting more and more complicated. Because of this, the vice president, 5 ward presidents, 6 executive committee members and 16 ward members elected from the UML have submitted a memorandum demanding an investigation into the matter, while the UML Rurukshetra village committee has locked the office of the ward chairman and the chief administrative officer.

In the memorandum submitted to the chief administrative officer under the leadership of the vice president, disagreement was expressed about the decision made in the executive not being implemented for three months and the addition of the smart board without informing the school management committee and the principal in the first week of June.

It is alleged that a fake file was prepared by a businessman for the payment of the Smart Board and it was facilitated to be sent to the school by putting a stamp on it. They have also mentioned in the memorandum that the Lumbini state government has suffered a loss of Rs. 25 lakhs and Rs.

Vice President Meenadevi Gautam said that they are demanding legal action against the guilty after investigating the facts. "In this incident, the intention of the chairman and the chief administrative officer was not clear," she said, "we will not participate in any work of the municipality until the truth comes out after investigation."

The 28 village assembly members who submitted a memorandum under the leadership of Vice President Gautam have alleged that the smart board was not added as per the policy, after the board was added, they tried to prepare a fake quotation file and after the matter came out, the budget became frozen.  Along with

, the UML Rurukshetra village committee has locked the office of village head Yadu Gyawali and chief administrative officer Lakshman Pandey.

UML Rurukshetra village committee president Farsuram Gyawali said that the people's representative submitted the memorandum and they locked it. "There is a policy error regarding the addition of smart boards in municipal schools," he said. However, he said that this issue is politically incorrect. He said that after the decision of the executive, according to the rules, the quotation should be requested, the company should be selected and the board should be installed and paid.

The process of purchasing smart boards was carried out according to the decision of the village education committee on March 22 and the decision of the executive on the 25th. The municipality said that it has formed an all-party investigation committee on this matter to bring out the truth about the procurement process, submitted a memorandum and has drawn serious attention to those who have been locked up. Pandey, the chief administrative officer, said that they were not even aware of this matter. "We also came to know about the addition of the board to the school later," he said, "we did not pay because we did not cooperate."

However, on this matter, the ward president, executive member and ward member, including the elected vice president from UML, are raising questions as to why the smart board was connected and why the payment was not given after it was connected. In which the UML village committee is also supported. In this regard, the chairman of the rural municipality, the spokesperson and the chief administrative officer have also said that no company will pay for the connected board without the process. Even though the opinions of both sides are identical, the party politics in the local municipality is seen to be multifaceted. Because of this, the ugly politics in the smart board is increasing.

There are a total of 32 members in the village assembly of Rurukshetra rural municipality. In which there is a municipal chairman and a ward chairman from the Maoists. There are 26 people from UML including the vice president. There are 4 people from Congress. Similarly, there are two people from Maoist and 12 people from UML in the executive.

Hariprasad Gyawali, the spokesperson of Rurukshetra rural municipality, said that the dispute was resolved in the meeting of the village education committee on June 27. "The complaint of this process has been investigated by the constitutional body," he said.

MP Chandra Bhandari, who was elected from this area, said that it was wrong to lock down the Parliament building, Singha Darbar and even the municipality. "There should not be a lock-down in the place where you can vote and develop," he said, "The protection of minorities is everyone's responsibility, all parties should be responsible and mature."
