After it was found that the work was of poor quality, a drain with a wall was demolished in the Khaireni-Johang-Juniyan-Bharse road section of Satyavati Rural Municipality. The municipality used an excavator to demolish the poor quality work.
In the initial section of the road section, the slope was 300 cubic meters and the drain construction with walls was 63.79 cubic meters. According to the municipality, the construction of the wall with drains of the said plan was found to be of poor quality.
On behalf of the office, engineer Ramesh Bhandari said that an agreement was reached between the Local Infrastructure Development Office of Lumbini Province Butwal and the construction company Sanbro Construction Pvt. In the
office, Engineer Bhandari said that the work is being done according to the contract. "The work was being done according to the contract," he said, "The municipality had a good response, I don't understand what happened in the end." He responded that the construction company should use more concrete as there is a standard of 60 percent concrete and 40 percent stone in the construction of the drain with this wall. The office has not yet paid any amount for this plan.
However, Sukmeet Sanmane, the owner of the construction company Sanbro Construction, admitted that there were some shortcomings during the construction. "While working, some problems were noticed in the finishing," he said, "We are working again." He said that the work was started again after demolition on the advice and suggestion of the municipality. He says that he will be able to work in three days and submit for payment.
Satyavati rural municipality president Tikaram Pandey said that the road under the municipality has been demolished due to poor quality work. "Recently, poor quality work has been done for payment," he said, "even if it is done through the government, the work should be of quality." He challenged the builders who cannot do quality work not to take over the work.
He said that although there is a plan of Local Infrastructure and Development Office Butwal, it will be monitored once it is in his municipality, but he has been forced to do quality work again.
