A child from Susta rural municipality-4 of West Nawalparasi has gone missing after being swept away by a flood in the Narayani river.
According to the police, 13-year-old Krishna Mallah, a local, went missing while trying to catch the firewood brought by the flood near Thokkar No. 14 of the Narayani river. Malla, who went into the vel to collect firewood with his friends, has gone missing and the armed police and public police are conducting a search.
After the flood in the river, there is a crowd of locals in this area to catch the goods and firewood brought by the river. Even though the local level and the administration have told them not to get into the flood, the local people collect firewood to cook food and sell and distribute the remaining, but they drag the firewood into the Narayani river with Ankusi. Every year, such an incident happens in the rains in this area, but the locals have not stopped gathering firewood.
