Janardhan Yadav, Ward President of Marchawari Rural Municipality-3 of Rupandehi and Bipin Kumar Pandey, owner of Shriganesh Trading located in Siddharthnagar Municipality-9, have been detained by the authority.
According to Gita Acharya, the information officer of the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission, Ward President Yadav, after completing the construction work of various schemes, bargained with the service recipient and asked for bribe for the purpose of recommending payment.
Acharya said that while the bribe money was taken by the owner Pandey, the team deployed from the commission's office in Butwal arrested the ward president Yadav and the owner Pandey with a bribe of three lakh rupees on Monday. The authority has informed that further investigation is being conducted on the
incident.
