After the party's exit from the federal government, preparations are being made to submit a letter of withdrawal of support to Lumbini as well
Civil Immunity, which has been supporting the Lumbini state government, has decided to withdraw its support from the government in Lumbini as well. According to Civil Immunity, the return letter will be submitted to the center after leaving the government.
Along with the Central Committee's decision to withdraw from the federal government, the parliamentary party meeting in Lumbini also decided to withdraw its support. In Lumbini, there are 4 state assembly members from Civil Liberation Party. They have been supporting Chetnarayan Acharya who became the chief minister from UML since last July. However, with the exit of the party from the government at the center, civil immunity also exited from Lumbini.
The leader of the Parliamentary Party for Civil Liberties, Dharma Bahadur Chaudhary, said that the parliamentary party has already decided on leaving the government and after leaving the federal government, a letter of withdrawal of support will also be sent to Lumbini province. "The Lumbini state government could not work according to the people's demand, so we have decided to withdraw the support," he said. After leaving the government at the center, we will submit the return letter to Lumbini as well.'
UML's Chetnarayan Acharya was appointed as the chief minister in Lumbini province on July 7. When he took the vote of confidence on August 4, 70 out of 87 members of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly gave their vote of confidence. He was given a vote of confidence by 70 provincial assembly members including 29 from UML, 27 from Congress, 4 from Civil Liberties, 3 each from LOSPA and Janmat, 2 from Jaspa, one from Jaspa Nepal and one independent. 11 people from the Maoist center voted against. 4 people from RPP, 1 from United Samajwadi and 1 from Jan Morcha were absent during the voting.
However, among those who supported the government, 1 person from Jaspa Nepal and 3 people from LOSPA have withdrawn their support. During the discussion of the budget brought by the LOSPA government, all the provincial assembly members, including the opposition party Maoists, boycotted the discussion on the budget, and on the advice of the Chief Minister, the LOSPA was made to withdraw its support and was put on the opposition chair.
Therefore, LOSPA is preparing to support the government again. However, in the current situation, 65 people support Chief Minister Acharya in the 86-member state assembly. Acharya will have the support of 61 people after Civil Liberties submitted a letter of withdrawal of support. After Gita Gurung, a member of the state assembly of Janmat, was dismissed, now there are 86 members of the Lumbini state assembly.
