3 people arrested with tiger skin

The police arrested three people with tiger skins from Garhwa Rural Municipality on Saturday night. They were arrested by a police team under the command of Police Inspector Roshanraj Pandey from Ward Police Office Lamhi on the basis of secret information that illegal trade in wild animal skins was going on.

Pandey said that 33-year-old Anil Tharu of 4 Padnah was arrested.

He informed that the skin of a striped tiger with a length of 9 feet 2 inches and a width of 3 feet 2 inches from head to tail was found hidden on the upper floor of the house. District Police Spokesperson DSP Chakra Bahadur Shah said that the incident is being investigated after taking them into custody.
