Due to the flood of Kaligandaki river, the tree stuck on the log of suspension bridge in Rampur Municipality-10, Gejha Hosti has been removed. The support beam of the suspension bridge built on the Kaligandaki River connecting Palpa-Sangja was cut by the tree when it was cut down with the flood of the Kaligandaki River.
Toynarayan Subedi, Chief District Officer of Palpa, said that since two weeks after the logs were removed, it was difficult to even travel through the suspension bridge. The technical group led by Senior Divisional Engineer Premnarayan Basyal of the Bridge Division removed the tree and made it risk-free.
The trusses or girders of the suspension bridge are tied (wind guy blocks) to prevent them from moving sideways. Engineer Basyal said that due to the damage, it can be repaired only after the flood level in the river decreases. "Currently, we have only removed the tree stuck on the suspension bridge and made it free from risk," he said. He said that after the level of the river has decreased, the sticks should be crossed. Basyal said that the wind guy block also needs to be repaired and the wind tie needs to be changed, so it will take more time.
The wind cow has been broken by a fallen tree from the river erosion. Police Inspector Ram Bahadur Nepali of the area police office Rampur said that it has been made accessible to the general public. The suspension bridge itself collapsed when a tree fell due to river erosion got stuck on the log. After the repair by the technician, it is now easy. The tree has been removed from the tree. Since one of the support sticks of the bridge was missing, the risk was high, so the common people were also prevented from walking.
is now open for walking after repair. As a motorable concrete bridge was under construction near Jholunge bridge in Kaligandaki river, the dam was built by piling gravel and sand on one side, and the river veal pushed it to the other side. When the builders did not manage the gravel and sand in time, there was a big landslide when cutting towards Syangja. Residents of Palpa's Rampur Municipality and Syangja's Chapakot Municipality used to cross this suspension bridge.
