Withdrawal of support extended by LOSPA to Lumbini government

The discussion on the budget has started in Lumbini from Tuesday. The meeting which started at 3 pm was adjourned after only sitting for 10 minutes. The meeting, which was halted for half an hour to reach an agreement between the opposition and the ruling party, started at 8:30 pm.

After the adjourned meeting continued, opposition parties such as Maoist, CPN-S, Jan Morcha, Jaspa Nepal boycotted the meeting protesting the next year's budget.

After the state assembly was without opposition in the second meeting, the LOSPA, which was on the ruling side in the previous meeting, sent a letter to the Speaker announcing that it had withdrawn its support to the government. The meeting of the provincial assembly started at 8:30 pm after the speaker immediately made the decision in the letter and prepared the bench of the opposition to the LOSPA. There are three LOSPA members in the Lumbini state assembly. Earlier, Jaspa Nepal also withdrew its support to the government. Jaspa is a member of Nepal . 

There are 3 members of LOSPA and 1 member of Jaspa Nepal in the opposition bench of the provincial assembly meeting which started after the boycott by the opposition parties including the Maoists . After the meeting started, Economic Affairs and Planning Minister of Lumbini Province, Dhanendra Karki, submitted a proposal to start a theoretical discussion on the 'annual estimate of revenue and expenditure for the financial year 2082/083' with a short statement and commitment to include the missed plans of the members of the Provincial Assembly during the preparation of the budget . The theoretical discussion on the budget is over. 

State Assembly member Bishnu Panthi, Kanaiya Bania, Chandrakesh Gupta, Sudhakar Pandey spoke in the theoretical discussion on the budget. In the meeting, Minister of Economic Affairs Karki submitted a proposal in the assembly to discuss the bill made to make arrangements for spending and allocating some funds from the provincial reserve fund for services and work in the year 2082/083. The theoretical discussion on the bill will be held on Wednesday.

The 15th session of the sixth session of the State Assembly has ended in just 7 minutes. The ruling party has made an action plan to pass the budget on Wednesday itself. Indrajit Tharu, chief whip of the main opposition party Maoist Center, which boycotted the meeting, said that the meeting was held on Tuesday night without hearing even though the ruling party was requested to conduct the meeting tomorrow (Wednesday). "The problem with the budget is the ruling party's, we asked for the reason for such a crisis," he said, "but the ruling party wanted to leave without waiting for a single day." State Assembly Secretary Durbhar Kumar Pun said that the meeting of the State Assembly was conducted after four members of LOSPA and JSPA Nepal attended the opposition bench.
