According to him, out of 217 species of birds found during the study, 99 species of birds are also important in terms of conservation. He said that since the birds of conservation importance are in the Gaumukhi area, the Gaumukhi area is a very important area for the birds.
Among the 9 species of protected birds of Nepal, two species of Chir Kalij and Munal are found in this area.
Similarly, bird expert Bhusal informed that five rare species of Dagger vulture, Golden vulture, White vulture, Gomayu Mahachil and Chir Kalij have also been recorded in the world. The dignity of Gaumukhi area has been increased by the presence of 17 nationally endangered species, 4 species found only in limited areas, 69 species found only in specific geographical areas and 31 species listed in the SITE list. Endangered mountain vulture and horned vulture nests have been confirmed in this area.
Not only birds, this study recorded the presence of 8 species of butterflies, 5 species of fish, 4 species of amphibians, 8 species of reptiles and 18 species of mammals . He said that since there are endangered birds in Gaumukhi rural municipality area, it reflects the overall biological wealth of this area.
This study has further contributed to the declaration of Gaumukhi Forest Conservation Area . A strong foundation has been established to create a bird and biological diversity area.
