A diversion has been constructed in Binayi river to allow heavy vehicles stuck in the river for four days to pass after the diversion was carried out in Dumkibas under the Narayangadh-Butwal road section on Thursday night.

Although small and passenger vehicles are operating through alternative routes, trucks, lorries and freight vehicles are stopped at Daunne.

Even though the vehicles stopped at Bardghat and Dumkibas were asked to return and use an alternative route, the cargo vehicles stopped at Daunne hills could not return and could not even cross Daunne.

The stopped vehicles will be diverted for some time and the diversion will be closed again after passing the vehicles stuck in the road, Chief Yadav Dhakale said at Nawalpur District Police Office . For that, a diversion is being constructed now and the vehicles stuck in the diversion will be allowed to cross from this evening.

The road department has suspended traffic operations during the night while traveling on the Butwal-Narayangadh road section to find an alternative and until the new bridge over the Binayi River is operational.
