Police post established on the border of Palpa and Nawalpur

A temporary police post has been established in Nisdi Rural Municipality-1, Bakamlang, on the border of Palpa and Nawalpur districts under the corridor road of Kaligand.

Chief District Officer of Palpa Toy Narayan Subedi said that a police station has been established at Bhotaha in Bakamlang to provide peace and security to citizens, reduce traffic accidents, and control illegal activities that may occur through the Kaligandaki corridor. 

Chief Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai of District Police Office Palpa said that this is the 888th temporary police post of Nepal Police. Here, 6 policemen under the leadership of Assistant Inspector of Police will serve the citizens of Nisdi Rural Municipality-1, Bankamlang and Sahalkot along the corridor road of Kaligand. 

Mukt Bahadur Saru, chairman of Nisdi rural municipality, said that the municipality will provide necessary support and assistance for the operation of the outpost. "The need for a police station was realized after the Kaligandaki Corridor road was operational," he said, "The residents of this area have been demanding for the establishment of a police station for many years, so now there is nothing to be happy about."

Bankamlang Ward President Yam Bahadur Rana said that the police post established at the border of the two districts will reduce the number of people who violate the traffic rules as well as the residents of this area.

According to the outgoing ward president of Nisdi rural municipality-1, Poorna Bahadur Khan, who has been purchasing land for the police station and submitting a demand letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs along with the district police office.
