Downe-Dumkibas road woes: Police has released a list of alternative routes

Due to the rain, there is a problem in the traffic in the Narayangadh-Butwal section under the East-West Highway, so the police have requested to use an alternative road.

The diversion of Binayi Khol has been washed away by floods several times, while the road in Daunne is slippery, making it difficult to operate traffic.

DSP Madhu Nepal of District Police Office, Purvi Nawalparasi, said that due to slippery, muddy and diversion roads in Daunne, traffic cannot be operated even when there is normal rain, so they have been asked to use alternative routes. 

The district police office is issuing a notice that vehicles going from east to west go through Narayangadh, Mugling, Pokhara, Syangja, Butwal  and vehicles going west from Kathmandu go through Mugling, Pokhara, Syangja to Butwal,  Vehicles going from west to east have been asked to go to their destination via Butwal, Syangja, Pokhara, Mugling and small vehicles have been requested to use the corridor road of Kaligand.

There is a traffic jam in Daunne-Dumkibas even now when the road is slippery in Daunne. The traffic that opened after 15 hours on Wednesday has been blocked since last night's rain.
