The wife killed her husband by hitting him on the head from behind with a sharp weapon while he was sleeping in the village of Chhatradeo Rural Municipality-3 Shikhar of Arghakhanchi.

38-year-old Ramu Kumal was killed by 27-year-old Mekhmaya Kumal around 12:30 midnight, Police Inspector Jhalak Prasad Sharma said. "Mekhmaya killed Ramu by hitting him on the head with a stick from behind while he was sleeping," he said.

In the evening, there was a general dispute between the two regarding household matters. Mekhmaya was arrested by the police from home on Sunday morning.
