Bahraichi Kewat, a vegetable farmer of Buddhabhumi municipality, has received the first prize of Agribastu Krishi Tara-2082 competition, which was organized with the aim of promoting the agricultural sector and honoring the farmers.
Kewat received one lakh rupees in cash, certificate of honor and trophy. The prize money and certificates were given by former minister Deepkumar Upadhyay.
The second prize of the Agri-Vastu Krishi Tara-2082 competition organized by Deepkumar Upadhyay Charitable Initiative was received by Tarka Krishnamohan Kewat of Buddhabhumi Municipality. He has received 75 thousand rupees in cash, certificate and trophy. Likewise, the third prize of Agri-Vastu Krishi Tara was received by Krishnalal Bharti, a beekeeper of Shivraj municipality. He received Rs 50,000 in cash, certificate and trophy.
Similarly, Dal Bahadur Rana of Banganga Municipality, who returned from abroad and engaged in agricultural profession, received the Best Agricultural Entrepreneur Award worth Rs 50,000. Durga Aryal, a female farmer of Shivraj Municipality, has received the Best Agricultural Product Award worth Rs 50,000. In the
program, 5 farmers were given consolation prizes. Consolation prize winners were Satyabhama Kewat, Santosh Kumar Chaudhary, Ram Bahadur Tharu, Satyanarayan Tharu and Vaibhav Pratap Shah. Agricultural implements were given to the consolation prize winners. Ashish Sharma, managing director of Agrivastu Pvt. Ltd., said that agriculture is the backbone, hope and trust of the economy. Agrivastu Pvt Ltd has been operating the state-of-the-art cold store in the district.
90 farmers applied for the Agricultural Star Award. A 5-member evaluation committee formed under the coordination of bee expert Aniruddha Nath Shukla studied the applications received and selected the names of the awardees on the basis of area, production and field monitoring.
