One person was killed when a truck and a motorcycle collided on Ratna Highway in Bardia Basgarhi Municipality-1 Chepang on Thursday afternoon.
According to the police, the truck No. 3 B 3899 coming from Surkhet towards Nepalgunj and the motorcycle No. 13 B 4482 coming from the opposite direction collided with each other. Motorcyclist Man Bahadur Khadka, 42, of Dailekh Dullu Napa-1, was seriously injured and died during treatment at the Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur, said Uma Shankar Prasad, Police Inspector of Area Police Office, Basgarhi.
Police Inspector Yamashankar Prasad said that the truck driver, Rajesh Rana Magar of Godavari Municipality-8, Kailali District, was detained along with the truck.
