The east-west highway has been blocked due to the diversion caused by the flood of Binayi river in Dumkibas of Butwal-Narayangadh road section.

According to the area police office, Dumkiwas, the diversion was carried out when the Vinayi river was flooded by the rain that fell towards Palpa this morning. The highway has been blocked since 8:30 am.

Passenger buses and light vehicles, which were stopped after the diversion, have been resumed through the inner road through the Hongsi Gate. Big and heavy vehicles are stopped on the highway. The police said that after the flood in the river stopped, a diversion road would be constructed to allow heavy vehicles and cargo vehicles to cross.
