In Kawasoti municipality of East Nawalparasi, landless Dalits and landless squatters have been distributed by landowners.

Lalpurja has been distributed to 25 people of landless Dalit and squatter families of Kawasoti municipality-4. Tarapati Kharel, district president of the commission, said that the land problem solution commission has coordinated with the Kawasoti municipality to distribute the land.

Landless Dalits, landless squatters in Kawasoti Municipality  Bishnu Prasad Bhusal, head of Kawasoti Municipality, said that 5 thousand 596 people have filled the form due to unorganized living and distributed the land owner portion to everyone according to the rules. 

Kal Bahadur Pariyar of Kawasoti-4 said that he felt confident after getting the red portion of the land that he has been cultivating and living in for years. After receiving the parts, the local residents celebrated by playing panchebaza. Representatives of political parties including former union MP Tilak Mahat, former MP of Gandaki province Bishnu Lamichhane participated in the parts distribution program.  About 35,000 landless Dalits, landless squatters and unorganized residents in the district have filled the form for land-rich parcels.
