8 clinics and 2 labs operating without registration in Bhairahawa of Rupandehi have been closed. The district level joint monitoring committee on Wednesday monitored and closed 10 professional health institutions operating without registration.

District Monitoring Committee Coordinator and Rupandehi Assistant Chief District Officer Chiranjeevi Rana said that 14 private health institutions were monitored and 10 were closed. "There was a complaint to the administration that health institutions were operating illegally without registration," he said. It was also found that some clinics are treating patients by admitting them, we have closed them for the time being.' Most of the clinics closed by the monitoring committee were operated along with pharmacies. The clinic was closed after it was found that the operation permit was not obtained despite the permission to operate the pharmacy.

Among the closed clinics are Shivam Clinic Pvt Ltd operating in Siddharthnagar, Clinic operating at Mahadejas Pharmacy, Clinic operating at Hometown Pharmacy, Clinic operating at Srinagar Optical Center, Clinic operating at Nepal Chamsa Shop. Similarly, Jeevika Medical Pvt Ltd has clinics, Shraddha Clinic and Rosish Pathology & Clinic. Similarly, Lumbini Pathology and New Om Pathology Labs have also been closed. The closed clinics and labs belong to Siddharth Nagar 12, 13 and Ward 7.

The monitoring committee has said that the operation of these clinics and labs has been banned until the operating permit is obtained. In the monitoring led by the District Administration Office, Siddharth Nagar Municipality, Health Office, District Police, Siddharth Industry and Commerce Association, Bhim Hospital doctors, Consumer Interest Protection Forum, Pharmacists Association and other heads and representatives participated.
