Police have seized 30 tons of sugar that evaded customs in West Nawalparasi. Sugar, which was brought to Nepal by evading customs from India, was seized from Sarawal Rural Municipality-6 Madhwalia on Sunday.

Lu 1 jh 3336 while bringing in the pickup van  3,500 kg of sugar was seized, said DSP Veer Dutt Pant of the District Police Office. Driver Jitendra Kohar has also been detained.

The seized sugar has been sent to Maheshpur Customs for necessary action.
