A young man killed two people including his father in West Nawalparasi. According to the police, 25-year-old Khemraj Tharu killed his father Jairam Tharu, 50, and his neighbor Wudhanath Dharikar, 70, in Sunwal Municipality-2 of the district.
Dharikar, who came to the rescue after seeing his father Khemraj hit with a spade in a domestic dispute, was also killed by the same spade. Deputy Superintendent of Police Viradat Pant, Information Officer of District Police Office West Nawalparasi said.
"The preliminary investigation revealed that the young man involved in the incident was a drug addict and had come home from the correctional facility some time ago," Pant said, "After killing his father with a spade, it was found that the mother also hit him when the neighbor came to the village to rescue him when he pleaded for surrender."
