Buddhist economic summit to be held in Lumbini. Lumbini Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya is scheduled to inaugurate the conference organized by Lumbini Buddhist University on Friday.
According to the university, Lumbini is an ideal place for such conferences as it is a world heritage site and the birthplace of Gautama Buddha. Registrar of Lumbini Buddhist University, who contributed not only to the promotion of the education provided by Buddha but also to the tourism, culture and economic development of Lumbini province. According to him, the purpose of the two-day conference is to connect Buddhist education with economic development and social prosperity. Opportunities for sustainable development, tourism promotion and economic cooperation based on the principles of Buddhism will be discussed at the conference.
The conference to be held with the financial support of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Transport of Lumbini Province will be attended by researchers, academicians, economic experts, tourism professionals, provincial government ministers, chief secretaries, secretaries and representatives of associations and organizations related to the economic sector.
